RANGE OF SIZES PERFORMANCE AND
CONSTRUCTION FEATURES Maximum freeze protection is provided since AMP operates on full steam or hot water flow at all times during the heating season. Control Air's "ARI" certified ISOMIX integral face and by-pass heating coil is standard in the AMP, and provides close control of final air temperature by proportioning the amounts of air to be heated and by-passed, while assuring a virtually constant (±5%) total air volume without stratification, to meet your design requirements in all seasons. Available for horizontal air flow through the wall, or vertical through the roof, AMP may be equipped with a variety of inlet, filtering and air distributing accessories, factory built to assure ease of installation and unitary responsibility. Standard control arrangement is for full shut-off of air flow when the unit is turned off, without a separate damper; the damper motors are employed in such a way that the ISOMIX upstream face dampers, and the downstream by-pass control diffusers close upon removal of power creating full closure of the unit.
PERFORMANCE AND CONSTRUCTION FEATURES Control Air's space heaters are of heavy-duty, industrial design. Casings and discharges are of heavy-gauge galvanized steel with galvanized angle corner members for hanging. Fans are aluminum airfoil design with heavy-gauge steel venturi and tubular motor support arms. Motors are totally enclosed with pre-lubricated, sealed ball bearings for minimum maintenance. The fan is mounted and keyed directly to the motor shaft. The standard heating surface of 5/8" OD, .035" wall copper tubing, properly pitched for drainage, and with aluminum fins with full collars and end supports mechanically bonded to the tubes at 10 fins per inch. Each tube is individually silver brazed to schedule 40 steel pipe headers which are free to move within the casing in such a way that the tubes may expand and contract without interference. Each heater surface is adjusted according to the specification so coverage is correct when operating on higher steam pressure. |
